Tura Rated in Australia's Top 100

For the second year running Tura Beach has been rated in Australia's Top 100 Public Access Golf Courses.

This would come as no surprise to members, who believe the course is in the finest condition it has ever been.  The cross-hatched mowing of the carpet-like fairways, the shaping of the bunker edges and the smoothness of the greens, contribute to the visual splendour and playing pleasure of the layout.

This is a great tribute to Greenkeeper Aaron Miller, his staff and the members who volunteer their time and effort to assist.

The 2012 (and 18th Edition) of the The Golf Course Guide, rates and lists over 800 Australian courses on a number of measures. Course design and course condition have a 40% weighting, while course aesthetics contributes 20%.

Restricted Golf Memberships Again On Offer

Division 1 and Seniors Win Pennant Finals

Bega Cheese Pro-Am Report

Brendan Smith plays to the 18th while Chris Campbell looks onWollongong's Chris Campbell and young Novocastrian Brendan Smith shared the honours in the Bega Valley pro-am golf tournament held on the challenging Tura Beach lay-out last week. Their winning score of -11 consisted of matching rounds of 64 and 71.

Their brilliant -9 first round scores of 64 equal the course record, which only three players have achieved previously.
